Parents Can Go To Court Without An Attorney

In a Supreme Court ruling, the Court made it clear that parents can go to court without an attorney to ensure that their child is receiving a free appropriate public education. In the case of Jacob Winkelman v. Parma City Schools the Court confirmed that parents have a “significant role” in seeking appropriate education for their child and do not have to have additional legal representation.
